When I first discovered Markets.Online I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they have MetaTrader4 as their platform of choice.
On this note, I’d like to dive deeper into the platform to explain what exactly made me so happy.
About the MetaTrader 4 platform
MetaTrader4 or simply MT4 was originally a Windows-based trading platform developed in 2005 by MetaQuotes Software and – just as an array of its peers back in the day – licensed to a wide array of trading software providers. Nothing new here.
What made MT4 so special is the reason why the platform became so popular in the first place – automation. One can easily write custom trading robots and scripts to enhance the targeting, performance, and effectiveness of trading.
Essentially MT4 became the LEGO of the online trading world with the only difference being that one could create their own bricks.
As the name suggests, MT4 is the fourth installment in MetaQuotes’ lineup of trading platforms. In essence, it underwent a series of changes since the first version to become a modern, up-to-date solution in our interconnected world of smart devices.
One of the platform’s greatest strengths today is its compatibility with almost every Operating System such as Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, or iOS.
Additionally, the platform packs quite the punch when it comes to tracing trading signals. What this means is that MT4 can copy the operations of other traders in real-time. You can see the data and the performance sheets and choose to copy the strategies of the high rollers from the top of the chart. This is especially handy for beginner traders who are still learning how bearish and bullish markets work.
Remember what I said about customization and scripts? MT4 has a lovely marketplace where you can choose from a selection of 1700+ trade bots, custom quality of life apps, commercial solutions, and more.
Additionally, you’ll get a chance to test the newer products for free (though I have to advise against that given your money is one the line). With that in mind, MT4 probably has the largest market in the industry with perfect tools for both beginner traders and seasoned veterans.
